  Understand the Standard Agent architecture and its default Plan, Execute, Reflect, and
  Summarize reasoning loop that retries and recovers when a step fails.

# Architecture

!!! warning "Deprecated"
    Standard Agent is **deprecated** and kept only for reference. Its tooling layer depends on the
    retired **Jentic SDK** (`jentic` PyPI package / the hosted `app.jentic.com` platform). The
    current, supported path is **self-hosted Jentic One** — see [Jentic One](../jentic-one/index.md).

The default reasoner uses a **Plan → Execute → Reflect → Summarize** loop.

```mermaid
graph LR
    A[Plan] --> B[Execute Step]
    B --> C{OK?}
    C -- No --> D[Reflect & Retry]
    D --> B
    C -- Yes --> E[Summarize]
```

**Layers**

* **Agent** (`StandardAgent`): orchestrates the run
* **Reasoner** (e.g., `SequentialReasoner`): algorithmic control loop
* **LLM** (e.g., `LiteLLM`): model adapter
* **Tools** (e.g., `JenticClient`): Just‑in‑Time capability loading & execution
* **Memory** (e.g., `DictMemory`): ephemeral or persistent state
