# Standard Agent – Overview

!!! warning "Deprecated"
Standard Agent is **deprecated** and kept only for reference. Its tooling layer depends on the
retired **Jentic SDK** (`jentic` PyPI package / the hosted `app.jentic.com` platform). The
current, supported path is **self-hosted Jentic One** — see [Jentic One](../jentic-one/index.md).

**Standard Agent** is a modular Python library for building reliable, composable AI agents.
It provides a pluggable **reasoner**, **LLM wrapper**, **tooling layer (JITT via Jentic)**, and **memory**.

- 🧩 **Composable:** swap LLMs, planners, executors, memory backends
- 🔄 **Resilient:** Plan → Execute → Reflect with retries and recovery
- 🔌 **Tool‑ready:** Just‑in‑Time Tooling via [Jentic](../../getting-started/quickstart.md)
- 🧰 **Batteries included:** Prebuilt `ReWOOAgent` and sequential reasoner
